As a core equipment for industrial production and people's livelihood security, boilers support the operation of numerous industries by virtue of their energy conversion function. At present, mainstream boilers on the market come in various styles, each with unique advantages in its working principle and applicable scenarios, which makes them the key to meeting different production demands.
Boilers share the same core principle: they heat water to steam or hot water by burning fuels or utilizing other energy sources, and then realize heat or power supply through pipeline transportation. Fire-Tube Boilers are the first choice for small and medium-sized enterprises due to their simple structure and low cost. High-temperature flue gas generated by fuel combustion passes through fire tubes to heat water. Although their thermal efficiency is lower than that of similar products, they feature stable operation and convenient maintenance, and are widely used in scenarios such as food processing and small chemical workshops. The person in charge of a food factory stated that the fire-tube boilers used in the factory operate for 8 hours a day on average, which can accurately meet the constant temperature demand of the production line.
Water-Tube Boilers stand out for their high efficiency and energy conservation. Water flows inside the tubes while high-temperature flue gas heats the tubes from the outside, resulting in a larger heat exchange area and a thermal efficiency of over 85%. Such boilers are suitable for large-scale industrial scenarios like power generation and metallurgical smelting, as they can withstand higher pressure and provide continuous power for high-energy-consuming industries. In the workshop of a power plant, two water-tube boilers operate in coordination to support the basic power supply load of the regional power grid.
As an environment-friendly product, Biomass Boilers use renewable energy sources such as straw and wood chips as fuel, aligning with the "dual carbon" goals, and are mostly applied in areas rich in biomass resources. Their operating principle is similar to that of traditional boilers, but they have lower emissions, making them suitable for scenarios such as agricultural processing and rural heating, and facilitating green production.
The selection of boiler types needs to be comprehensively considered in light of production capacity requirements, environmental protection standards and cost budgets. In the future, with the upgrading of energy-saving technologies, boilers will evolve towards higher efficiency and lower carbon emissions, further empowering the high-quality development of various industries.
